With over a hundred volunteers we save the co-op thousands each year, putting that money back into providing the freshest, safest, tastiest food for people (not for profit).
The Riverwest Co-op specializes in organic, sustainable, local foods, 98% Organic cafe items and handmade goods from all over Wisconsin, with an emphasis on local and women/mother-owned businesses.
Our volunteers price, stock, clean, organize, run the till, arrange the produce, make the art/signs around the store and provide a dedicated network of amazing, diverse and caring individuals. Our Volunteers are in every age group, family structure, race, religion, creed and level of ability.
If you’ve been wanting to know how to become more involved or are ready to start volunteering at the Riverwest Co-op come to an orientation on any Thursday at 7pm for general orientation or Friday at 11am for general orientation and cafe specific orientation.
Perks of volunteering include:
A 10% discount on all non-cafe items in store
Ability to buy in bulk at 20% above cost
Ability to write checks instore.
Ability to vote for board members, bi-law changes and more!
A great sense of accomplishment and a feeling of deep and unfettered joy!
Cafe volunteers also receive a free meal from the Cafe!
What are you waiting for?
