Communications Committee Meeting Minutes 2/9/11

Donation Requests

Only request was for sponsorship of the 4/20 Fest at the Miramar. Request was declined.

 

Ads

Glenda is working on the March Currents ad, due Monday 2/14. We are going ahead on the Groupon offer and are just waiting for a confirmation of the agreement.

 

Events

Spaghetti Dinner – Gibson will be submitting a formal report. Event was a success; roughly 140 attendees and $400. Paula will send a thank-you note to Nancy. Note for next year to provide gluten-free pasta.

Chili Cookoff – Event has been posted on website and Facebook, ad in Currents, and posters at co-op. Paula will print up fliers for the counter. Gibson will need volunteers for the door and to count ballots.

Annual meeting - Being planned by Sandra; food will be done by Theresa or Justin. Committee will check with Sandra on publicizing the meeting.

 

Mugs

Sample mugs requested from ePromos were bad quality. Checking with National Promotions.

 

2011 Budget

Board needs budget soon. It was suggested to budget $1000 for 10^th Anniversary events and costs. Cost of mugs and cookbook will be coming out of the purchasing budget.
