Communications committee meeting for  November 25,  2009

 

Present were Lisa and Susan.

 

• Event updates:

Locust Street Days                            information about $ still coming from Gibson and Doug

Just Coffee                                          information about $ still coming from Gibson

Center Street Daze                             loss of about $74 caused by late start and Co-op banners missing to identify food stand.  More $ information still coming.

Co-op Anniversary party                $387.00 taken at the door, with $200.00 paid for music and entertainment, and $60.00 for beer.  ?? paid for cake.  Thank you cards to be sent to Linnemans’ by Lisa.

Mandolin and Pagan Santa            no update – no longer to be on calendar?

Small holiday party                         Clare handling this – private party at private residence

Spaghetti Dinner                               no update

Pancake Breakfast                             to be held in February

 

• Donation updates:

Shepherd Express local holiday shopper giveaway (ourmilwaukee.net) 2 (up to 5) $10 gift certificates

• Website updates:

Web site hosting bill needs to be paid – expires 12/16/2009.  This is currently to siteground.com for about $80/year.  Lisa will find out if the Co-op has a credit card.

 

• Ads:

The Co-op will not be taking out ads in the Onion (ad space runs $200/mo for 2 ads).  The Co-op will be putting a listing in the Farm Fresh Atlas for 2010, and Susan will contact Farm Fresh Atlas with ad from Gibson.

 

• Interdependent newsletter:

No new ideas

 

• Miscellaneous

Lisa suggested sending Co-op Christmas cards to local vendors and good friends, like WMSE, Just Coffee and Our Milwaukee.  Further discussion at next meeting.
