Café $ information coming

MSOE Chili Cookoff                      

The Co-op won for the second year in a row (Best Vegetarian).    $500 MSOE prize to be used for WMSE radio announcements.  Erin will look into revising the script from olast year.  $ information is coming.  The Co-op will also be featured on Public TV’s  Wisconsin Foodie, probably in the fall.  $25 will be donated to MSOE for the chili sold in the Café.  Mark Caldwell will receive $50 in Co-op gift certificates for all his hard work.

Health Fair at Fratney School       

Sandra and Erin to man table to distribute Co-op literature from 9-12 on 3/20

Neighborhood literature drop      

Gibson and Sandra to put together brochure from Co-op.  Will use the Currents office and Clark Printing to create and print.  Drop to be held 3/20.  This literature will also be used at the Health Fair.

Annual meeting scheduled for 4/18

• Donation updates:

-Woodland Pattern Edible Books to be held 3/28 – the Communications Committee would like to fund the event, letting the Café come up with the great ideas.  Gibson will talk to the Café.l

-United Way asked for donations – this was declined at this time

-MPS Riverside High School asked for ads for their upcoming program “Willie Wonka”.  The Co-op will take out a ¼ page ad for $40.  Lisa will be sending the copy (logo and Café hours)

Growing Power sent out a general request for donations – this was declined at this time

• Website updates:

Website was reviewed, and a number of small problems were noted and will be discussed by Lisa with Kevin for correction.  The board will be reviewing the new website 3/15.

• Ads:

April ad to feature the outdoor seating at the café..

• Interdependent newsletter:

Lisa will be talking to Peyton about Communications Committee to newsletter.  There will also be MSOE Chili Cookoff pictures in the next issue.

• Miscellaneous

Gibson will gather any additional ideas for the new banner.  One additional banner was found and will be stored in the Co-op office.

Erin is working on the mission statement display.

• The next communications committee meeting will be held March 24 at 7:00.
