VOLUNTEERING AT THE RIVERWEST COOP:
All Coop members are encouraged to volunteer at times that fit into their schedule. Being volunteer-based keeps our prices low and allows us to maintain a healthy, community-oriented cooperative.
BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING:
Volunteers who work in the store or on a committee earn up to an additional 10% discount at store. Customer service in the store is one option for volunteers, but so is serving on one of our committees (communications, finance, membership, etc.). Volunteers do outreach, marketting, fundraising, and they help with the Café and offsite events.
The act of giving your time and resources to an organization that is non-hierarchichal and not profit-driven is a gift that many people find rewarding for a variety of reasons. Some love Riverwest and being involved in the communitythrough the Coop. Volunteering is a great way to socialize while doing something fulfilling and positive. If you are new to town, volunteering is a great way to make new friends. Our members and volunteers represent an amazing cross-section of the city.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER:
Email our volunteer coordinator, Gibson Caldwell or call 414-264-7933.
