The WC would like to apologize for our absence and lack ofparticipation in the Collective and the Co-op as a whole.  We have failed to meet 3 weeks prior to the last two weeks.  We haved disscussed this and decided on the best time for us at this moment.  This new day will
be Monday @ noon.  We will take more responsibility in our actions as they pertain to the Store and Cafe.  We will work harder at communicating more strongly and bringing  more goals, ideas and information to the board. That being said we disscussed our presentation throughout the store
and cafe and agreed on being more professional, friendly and accomodating to our customers.
Sales have been quite slow. We believe that through positive customer service and using the Website to advertise our specials and daily events that we can change this. We are wanting to work more with communications on daily happenings, deals and new product in the store and new specials in the cafe, such as themed weekend brunches, late nite sandwich baskets, and
seasonal drinks.  Hopefully with help from the communications committee we can get these specials along with fun pictures of staff and food on the internet and to the people.
The Cafe will also be putting out little flyers on the tables with weekly specials. Overall the WC will communicate all their ideas more strongly and hopefully as a result these ideas will be executed more often.

We have a woman named Chris Christie who would like to work with staff on a workshop called "Privilege Training" that would involve some tactics on better serving our costumers. This would also help with our problem lately of poor cutomer service.
We have had some Reviews recently.  Four cafe staff members have been reiviewed and taken to H.R. for review.  And three of the four will be meeting with cafe co-managers for their official reviews.  We have reviewed Cafe Co-manager Mia and thils was passed on to HR and will
than be given to Mia for her official review.  The WC will be doing Paula's review next Monday.
Volunteer Coordinator Commitee has not met but we have all reviewed and condensed the resumes and will be conducting a "round robin" type meeting with whom we decide to interview. We are working on th best time to meet and set up these interviews.
Anniversary Dinner is coming up soon.  Paula is looking into flatware and dishes to serve with which will then be given to the kitchen for its use.  Mia and Nik are working on a great menu which so far consists of squash stuffed shells, crostini, cesar salad and snacks.  Dawn will be baking a small assortment of pies: apple, pumpkin, pecan.
UNFI wanted to change their delivery to a later day in the week and we voted no.  It will remain on Monday early am.
New Cafe Menu should be ready to reveal in 2 weeks.

We recently lost a great friend to the Co-op and the neighborhood. John of the Polish Falcon passed away and he will be missed by many. Our regards to his wonderful wife Lynn. Cheers and farewell, John. The cafe donated two bowls of pasta salad and two bowls of vegetable salad to his wake. We love you POLISH FALCON!!!
