WC Minutes 2/22/2011

 

Present: Shelly, Paula, Justin, Gibson

 

-Last week’s daily sales averages: overall: $2360.26 (store: 1608.22, cafe: 699.18)

-Checking account balance: $1443.03

-Retreat recap: discussed increasing grab n’ go, Justin will get packaging for meals and finish recipe binders.

-Chili Cookoff: only 37 adults attended, which is a poor turnout (nearly 100 last year).  Weather was pretty bad.  Michelle and Shelly will coordinate with Gibson to figure out the plan for March 6th cookoff.

-Thursday work schedules- Paula will come in earlier and Gibson will cover late afternoon.

-Chicken Dance.

-Produce order- we’ve stopped doing Monday orders.  No one thinks things looked depleted.  We are getting Tuesday produce order from Co-op Partners, which helps for Produce Wednesdays.

-Michelle Jones is cutting back her hours.

-Cafe- long discussion/brainstorming on cafe.  Shifts will be streamlined, restructuring staffing levels and being more consistent.  Mornings= deli case, soups, specials; Mid-day= prep; Night=cleaning and close.  Will clarify expectations to staff and allow them to focus on more specific tasks.  Discussion of what specific things Justin could do better before he goes.  Ideas include getting binder in order and in scale, making bigger batches.  Does rearranging make sense before transition to new managers- we say yes.  Will continue looking at working with Public House on food too.
